Naremburn to Cape Solander

Cape Solander is in the Botany Bay National Park and is a prime spot for whale watching.

We cross the harbour and proceed to Brighton-le-Sands via the Hawthorn canal and Cooks River. We then proceed right around the foreshore of Boyany Bay and cross the Captain Cook Bridge. From there we go around Woolooware Bay to Kurnell. We then visit the lookout on Cape Solander and return via Cronulla railway station and train back to St Leonards.

The riding distance is about 70 km.

Places for breaks

Coffee at the Bicycle Garage at Lilyfield, and lunch at Brighton-le-Sands then a snack at Cronulla prior to catching the train back.

Timing

Start 8.30 am from Naremburn Shops. The train departure times from Cronulla and arrival at St Leonards are:

2:55pm — 3:52pm

3:10pm — 4:25pm

3:22pm — 4:41pm

3:40pm — 4:55pm

We need to change trains at Central.

Notes

Cycling in busy urban streets, small section through CBD. Long stretches of shared path.
